The Who - Baba O'reilly |
] |
Over the past few months, I've seriously considered deleting this journal. Honestly, I don't have any reason to keep this page active. I already have a fandom journal (which I also haven't updated in quite a while), and that covers about 90% of anything I ever talk about. Unlike normal teenagers, I have very little to angst over in life, which eliminates the need for a rant journal. In the past, I've sort-of used this as a journal for music commentary, but these days, I don't have much to say aside from, "I like this song. And that song is good, too." (Besides, aside from re-listening to my L'Arc~en~Ciel music, nowadays I mainly listen to old-school American rock. Shocking, I know, especially considering how anti-American I was only a couple years back.)
For a long while, this journal worked well as a storage area for random posts - however, considering the frequent inactivity, it's obviously not working anymore. The only reason I have to keep this journal is to preserve a few of my older, more memorable posts. (And as poorly-worded as my first posts were, my immaturity was rather endearing.)
For now at least, I'll keep this journal. Though unless something terribly exciting happens in my life, this will probably only sit and collect dust.
It's been fun. See you all.

Took the ColorQuiz.com personality test a few weeks ago, and the results were scarily precise. Though I don't normally post test results/memes, I decided to make this an exception.
The bolded text are the statements I found to be especially accurate.

Thank God I'm not heavily involved in the Final Fantasy fandom, or else I'd be all over that Advent Children download like a hobo on crack.
See no download, hear no download, speak no download.
Hell if I could understand it, in the first place.
Damn, I still have to play the game!
EDIT: I caved in and downloaded the 1-minute sample.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
An old ugly man hit on me while I was walking home. He even grabbed my hand and everything. It was repulsive. I really should learn to say, "Get the HELL away," when those sorts of things happen.

Comparatively, the movie (Howl's Moving Castle) earned US$7,670,422 in five weeks in France (opening in in the number 1 spot), going on to earn close to US$9 million total.
In Hong Kong, a city of only 7 million inhabitants, Howl's Moving Castle earned US$2,855,091 in five weeks. It also opened in first place in Hong Kong.
In South Korean it earned US$16,034,588 in the first five weeks and went on to earn almost $19 million. 3 million people, six percent of the population, saw the movie in theaters.
If Howl's Moving Castle had performed as well in North America as it had in either Hong Kong or South Korea, it would have earned over $100 million in its first five weeks here.
If that doesn't prove that American audiences are dumber than everyone else, this will:
Shark Tale did well in the box office.
SHOOTMESHOOTMESHOOTMESHOOTME.

New, shiny layout. Tweaked the userinfo page as well, mysterious shadow girls and all.
Started watching Rockstar: INXS. Didn't expect much, but then I spotted Marty. The man is seven shades of gorgeous and that makes all the difference. Nope, I don't care if he has seizures onstage. Now vote like crazy, so I can continue oggling him.
Marty or no, it is a surprisingly entertaining show, if not just for the onstage theatrics. That Daphna's something, ain't she?

I have a hate/love relationship with Metal Gear Solid 3. Hate because I suck, love because it's a damn good game. After the past few days of playing, all I can say is:
OCELOT MOTHERFUCKERS.

It's my birthday!
This morning, my mom greeted me by saying, "Congratulations! You're one day older than you were yesterday!"
At school, I was sung happy birthday four times and two of them were horribly sung solos.
So far, I've gotten $25, a Calcifer keychain, and The Wallflower Vol. 1.
I'm 15 now. Ewwww, I'm old. The wrinkles! They're already forming!

If there's one thing JtHM has taught me, it's that anger and the release of anger is healthy. Necessary, even.
So, without further ado...
Dear Anonymous,
I may not have the intelligence you have, but what I do have is THIS FORK THAT I CAN JAB INTO YOUR EYE. Just because you're better at Physics doesn't mean you have to act like a BITCH when I don't know something. Fuck you. HOLES IN YOUR BRAIN, FOR ALL I CARE.
[/obligatory post of unbridled rage]
And now I feel better about myself. :D

Taken from Shiroi Heya:
This is it. Dir en grey is finally launching out of Asia. On June 3, 2005, they will be appearing at Rock-am-Ring, a 3-day festival, sharing the stage with bands such as Papa Roach and Slipknot... On the main stage that day will be Green Day, R.E.M., Incubus, and more. ...This is huge. This is big. I'm so excited I can barely THINK. I don't care WHO else is playing at the festival- bands you like, bands you hate, some of those acts are indisputably GOOD WELL-KNOWN WORLDWIDE BANDS.
I'm not even a big fan of Dir en Grey and I still want to go. Damn Europeans, they get everything.

Consider this a survey of sorts. How many songs on this list have you listened to:
Ayumi Hamasaki - Everlasting Dream SIAM SHADE - Dear Utada Hikaru - Shiawase ni narou Moritaka Chisato - Ame Mr.Children - Hero Gackt - seven aiko - Andromeda Shiina Ringo - Kageriyuku heya Matsutoya Yumi - Kageriyuku Heya Fujimoto Miki - Aenai Nagai Nichiyoubi fra-foa - light of sorrow Chrono Cross - Radical Dreamers Morning Musume - Go Girl! Koi no Victory Bump Of Chicken - diamond
If you've only partially heard a song, it still counts.
